Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Urban Pulse Mapping platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are entering into these terms on behalf of a municipality or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

By submitting tree observation data through the Urban Pulse app, you grant Urban Pulse Mapping, Inc. a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the submitted photographs and associated data for the purpose of urban forest inventory management.

You retain copyright ownership of your photographs. This license allows us to include your contributions in municipal tree inventories and derivative data products.

Urban Pulse provides screening-grade tree inventory data equivalent to ANSI A300 Level 1 assessment. This data is intended for preliminary survey, planning, and monitoring purposes.

Urban Pulse data does not constitute a professional arboricultural assessment and should not be used as the sole basis for tree risk management decisions. Cities should engage TRAQ-qualified arborists for Level 2 and Level 3 assessments of trees flagged as high-risk.

Urban Pulse Mapping, Inc. shall not be liable for any damages arising from reliance on tree condition data for risk management decisions. Users acknowledge that AI-generated species identifications and health assessments carry inherent uncertainty.

In no event shall Urban Pulse's total liability exceed the amount paid by the user in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Mappers agree to: submit only genuine, original photographs; not engage in GPS spoofing, duplicate submissions, or other fraudulent activity; respect private property when photographing trees; and comply with all applicable local laws.

Violation of these terms may result in account suspension, forfeiture of pending earnings, and permanent ban from the platform.

Mapper earnings are subject to verification. Urban Pulse reserves the right to withhold or reverse payments for submissions that are later determined to be fraudulent, duplicative, or below quality standards.

Mappers are responsible for their own tax obligations. Urban Pulse will issue 1099 forms as required by applicable tax law.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
